Announced on the Nissan website, Nissan teams up with New York's Taxi of Tomorrow to provide the city with an innovative new way to get around starting in 2013.  The Nissan NV200 has been selected as the official taxi for the program.  Nissan will also provide several Nissan LEAF vehicles for taxi drivers to test in 2012 for an all electric experience. As listed on the Nissan website, the new taxi features will also provide:

• 2.0L 4-cylinder powertrain, engineered to enhance the emission performance and fuel efficiency of the taxi fleet
• Ample room for four passengers and their luggage, substantially improved over current taxi models
• A low-annoyance horn with exterior lights that indicate when the vehicle is honking, helping reduce noise pollution
• Sliding doors with entry step and grab handles, providing easy entry and exit
• Transparent roof panel(with shade)that will provide unique views of the city

California based AeroVironment to install I-5 electric vehicle chargers in Oregon

Oregon takes first step toward creating a "green highway" from San Diego to Vancouver, BC and Washington is currently looking into I-5 stations, too. Will California be soon to follow?

AeroVironment Inc., a maker of electric vehicle charging stations, announced Wednesday it was selected by the Oregon Department of Transportation to install high-powered charging stations along the Interstate 5 corridor.

The stations will be installed at eight interchanges identified by ODOT, with specific locations yet to be determined.

"We're looking at potential host sites," said Kristen Helsel, vice president of electric vehicle solutions for AeroVironment (Nasdaq: AVAV), which is also partnering with Nissan to install chargers for Nissan Leaf owners in the car's launch communities.

I'm not exactly sure how the rest of the departments are with this particular Nissan dealership, but their parts department is extremely helpful and knowledgeable with any nissan. First time I ordered a part, Ray helped me and he set up the order quickly and reliably. Second time I ordered a part, it was through Ruben. He helped me very well too, and he also made me laugh. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for any nissan parts.

Parts department really knows their stuff, especially the guys who work on the performance parts. They always seem to really take care of me. Ray, Scott, Ruben, and Danny are petty awesome with their assistance.
